39TH NATIONAL AGE GROUP
CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024

Registration for this event is now closed.

This event is organized by the Singapore Chess Federation and supported by Community Sports Network @ Tampines West, and it is the most prestigious age group tournament organised by the SCF.

 

All players who meet the age eligibility with FIDE ID can participate – this tournament is not restricted to SGP players only and we welcome our friends from abroad to participate and enjoy the festivities.

Here are some attractive prizes and recognition that you can receive from this tournament:

– The winners / highest ranked Singaporean/PRs of these events will be crowned Singapore National Champions in their respective age groups.

– Players will have the opportunity to qualify for the Singapore National Training Program (“NTP”) at a suitable age group where applicable.
– Players who finish well will also have the opportunity to qualify for our National Junior Squads i.e. NJDS, HPI and HP.

– Please note that the NAG shall be the Key Qualification Tournament for selection in the NTP and NJS.
– The top 3 in the National Under 20 section and the Under 16 Champions, both boys and girls, will receive an invitation to participate in the finals of the Singapore National Championships*
– Singapore National Master norms will be awarded to the National Under 16 and Under 20 champions for boys and girls*. Note that only one norm from the NAG is allowed.

Under 8	Born on, or after 1 January 2016
Under 10	Born on, or after 1 January 2014
Under 12	Born on, or after 1 January 2012
Under 14	Born on, or after 1 January 2010
Under 16	Born on, or after 1 January 2008
Under 20	Born on, or after 1 January 2004

*Boys and Girls will play in the same pool of respective categories, but will receive prizes separately (i.e. Top 10 boys, Top 10 Girls)

Rounds 3 & 4 : Monday, Nov 25 2024
Rounds 5 & 6 : Tuesday, Nov 26 2024
Rounds 7 & 8 : Wednesday, Nov 27 2024
Round 9 : Thursday, Nov 28 2024

Entry Fees:

• Singaporeans/PRs – $160
• Non-Singaporeans – $250 

Registration Deadline: Extended to 6pm, 8th November 2024.  Late entries beyond the deadline will not be accepted.
